Trojan – 5895 metres above sea level!

October 2011.

Trojan were delighted to be able to fully kit out 35 brave men and women as they attempted to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation. Trojan was initially asked to use their vast apparel and textile knowledge to provide a suitable collection of garments; ultimately they were thrilled to donate the kit packs for each climber in support of such a fantastic charity.

Trojan provided a wide range of garments to help the climbers manage their body temperatures in the varying climates of the climb. From UPF sunhats, moisture wicking polo's in the hot low levels of the climb through to thermal layers. We also provided Thinsulate hats and high specification 3 layer membrane waterproof garments to ensure the climbers stayed dry and warm throughout the expedition.

MD Robert Righton commented "We were proud to be asked for advice on the required clothing for the expedition. Our technical teams completed an in-depth review to understand the climates involved and used their knowledge to build a fantastic kit pack.”
